Same cabinet as before-new look! Are you a world traveler? Do you have a special collection or inclining towards funky ephemera? What a lovely place to bring all of those items dear to your heart & lend a sense of organization to them.
Personally, I believe that the key to good design is to use items that are a reflection of the person(s) inhabiting the space. You shouldn’t just put something in your home because it’s pretty….well, ok-that is one factor! It should be a reflection of your life, your hobbies, your passions & love.
Be sure to have fun with it! I acquired the Palmistry hand during our annual Labor Day family trip to Virginia. This was purchased at a GIANT yard sale we always stop at when I was in high school. I’m drawn to weird things-I know this. My boyfriend is an avid diver and always tries to bring me back a little prize, hence the crusty shells.
Who doesn’t love a good bar?! Want some inspiration-Pinterest has lots to offer. A pretty tray turns any random grouping into an instant collection of some sort. Things just make more sense when they are gathered on a tray. Promise.
Framed family photos, seashells, candles, special coins, a collection of arrow heads & deer antlers are all amazing little finds to collect for your very own Collected Cabinet!
Happy Humpday Everyone! Up next….. Display Cabinet No.3: Utility
